Description

Resolution approving the Dodge Riverside Golf Course Irrigation Improvement Project, Phase II.  
Background/Discussion

The irrigation improvement project was identified as a Capital Improvement in 2017-2018 after operational issues were identified.  Phase I occurred in 2019 and Phase II was approved as a CIP project in 2020.

 

As this is Phase II of a multi-year proposed project and given the potential cost of the project, a public hearing is required for this improvement.  Phase I was approved for $250,000, and the final cost for Phase I was approximately $245,000.  Phase II was approved for $250,000 and the initial cost estimate is in the range of $240,000 - $285,000.  Both City staff and Golf Course Management staff are aware that no additional funding will be provided for Phase II and will work to reduce scope as necessary to ensure the project is within the approved budget.

Recommendation

Approve the Dodge Riverside Golf Course Irrigation Improvement Project, Phase II.
